Customers and payment methods

Customers

Customers › Customers is your own customer list, private to your shop.

  • Each customer has a name, company, email, phone, address, and internal notes only you see (e.g. "Prefers pickup after 5 pm").
  • Search the list. Archive a customer to hide them from it; nothing is deleted, and you can restore them.
  • A customer's page lists their quotes and orders, with New quote and New order.

Customers can also be added as you go: New customer in Quick job, or Add a new customer beside the customer box on a quote or order. A walk-in sale doesn't need a customer at all.

Their email is used for their own orders only: invoices, receipts and the ready email you choose to send.

Payment methods

Settings › Payment methods lists how your customers pay you. They're offered when you record a payment on an order, and in Quick job.

  • Works starts you with Cash, Card, E-transfer and Other.
  • Add your own (PayPal, Venmo, Square…), rename them, put them in order with ↑ ↓, and Archive ones you no longer take (orders paid that way keep them).
  • Tick Cash on the methods that count as cash: Quick job rounds those totals to the nearest 5 cents.

Nozzlet doesn't take payments for your sales: your customer pays you directly, and Works records it.
